Mitsubishi Bumper Installation Guide

Prep Your Bumper

Most bumpers will come from the factory ready with primer. Follow the steps below to get your Mitsubishi bumper ready for paint:

  1. Get some rubbing alcohol. Using a clean paper towel thoroughly clean the surface.
  2. Tape off any areas of the bumper that you don't want painted.
  3. Store your bumper in a low dust and clean environment.

Installing your Bumper

Follow these instructions carefully and take your time! TIP: take a picture of the bolt locations so that you can see how they fit before removing! This process is very similar for the front or rear.

Mitsubishi Bumper Removal

  1. Pop open hood
  2. You will find some screws and pins on the bumper which is attached to the front. Remove these screws and pins.
  3. Remove the bolts holding the wheelwell liner in place.
  4. Remove plastic guard shield and screws on the bottom of the bumper.
  5. Pull the wheelwell liner back and you will see either one or two screws holding your bumper on. These screws are on the top corner. This is the same for the right or left side.
  6. Gently pull your bumper off so not to damage anything

Mitsubishi Bumper Installation

  1. Install the screws and pins from the front.
  2. Install the bolts behind the wheelwell liner.
  3. Replace the plastic shield underneath the bumper. Fasten all bolts tightly.
  4. Screw back the wheelwell liner.
  5. Enjoy your hot new bumper.
